CURRENT NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
Church leaders in the southern end of the Holston Conference are invited to a gathering Sunday afternoon, February 9, to hear more about the benefits of joining the Wesleyan Convenant Association. The event will be at Sulphur Springs UMC at 329 Sulphur Road in Whitwell, TN at 2:30 pm, Central Standard Time (3:30 pm EST). Topics will include the recently announced Protocol Statement.
The next church meeting to discuss our future will be February 27, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Church Sanctuary. If you have questions or a topic you wish included in this meeting, please tell or email Ruth Stanley (email@example.com).
We have started emailing prayer concerns for our church members. This provides benefits to both the recipients and those who pray. The recipients have many, many prayers Raised on their behalf , and those who pray are able to help their fellow church members. Health updates are also provided, so we can be specific in our prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. If you would like to be added to this group, spend an email to Lisa McFarlin (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Path To The Cross Bible studies are on Sundays 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the Education Building and Wednesdays 1:00 to 2:00 pm in The Fellowship Hall.
Thank you to all who supported the first season of Community Cares events. If you would like to be involved in planning or have an idea about an activity you would like to present or see a need for please contact Connie Ward.
