The Youth Group annual Soup Dinner Fundraiser will be directly following the worship service on January 19. If you are willing to bring a pot of soup, please sign up on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex or let Heather Stanfield (423) 244-4613) know before January 12.

Our Shoe Boxes have been sent to the following countries: Senegal, Democratic Republic of Congo, Thailand, Mali, Chad, Cameroon, and to a place that is in a hard to reach area and not named. Please pray for all of the children that will receive these gifts.

Book Outing – January 27. Participants will meet at 6:10 in New Salem United Methodist Church parking lot. After we load up in the church van we will head down to Trenton GA, and Books Never Ending to explore and share our stories about books. Light refreshments will be served. We should be back at the church by 8:30. There is no fee, but preregistration is required, only room for 14 adults. Cloudland Canyon – An Historic Adventure – February 29. This will be a special Field Trip beginning at the New Salem Methodist Church. We will visit the park overlook, drive down to Sittons’ Cave entrance and then back up to the fossil beds in Durham. Participants will meet at New Salem Methodist Church at 9:00 am and ride the church van. We should be back at church by 1:00 pm. There is no fee, but preregistration is required. There is only room for 20 individuals ages 10 – adult. Sign-up with the link on the Community Cares Facebook page, communitycaresnsumc, or put your name on the sign-up sheet in the Church.

The Fourth Stitch – continues the fourth Friday each month10:00 – 2:00. Bring a project/s to work on or learn to sew, starting with a simple project that will be provided. All skill levels welcome. Brenda McKaig and Connie Ward will be available for support. Bring your own lunch a sewing machine if you have one.

Yoga Class each Wednesday at 5:30 – $6.00 Fee
