CURRENT NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

Church postponed through March 22. Out of an abundance of caution and concern for our church and community, the Bishop has requested the suspension of worship and activities for the next two weeks (March 15 and March 22). The consensus is the most effective way of slowing the spread of the corona virus is through social distancing. And, for social distancing to be effective, it is recommended that it begins early – so early that it may feel unneeded and silly. If we wait until it’s need is obvious, it will be too late. Sunday services will resume on March 29th. Thank you for your understanding.

The Clothing Bank will be closed until April 9.  Please, PLEASE, to NOT leave any clothing donations at the Clothing Bank until April 9.

The next church meeting to discuss our future will be Thursday, April 23, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Church Sanctuary. If you have questions or a topic you wish included in this meeting, please tell or email Ruth Stanley (rejoice42@gmail.com).

The UMW Camp Lookout Scholarship box is in the Narthex. Please take an envelope with a UMW Scholarship Application. Return the application to the scholarship box in the original envelope no later than Sunday, March 22. If you have questions, please contact Sue Little at (706) 398-0419.

We are continuing emailing prayer concerns for our church members. This provides benefits to both the recipients and those who pray. The recipients have many, many prayers Raised on their behalf , and those who pray are able to help their fellow church members. Health updates are also provided, so we can be specific in our prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. If you would like to be added to this group, spend an email to Lisa McFarlin (mcfarlin03@gmail.com).

The Path To The Cross Bible studies are on Sundays 5:00 to 6:00 pm in the Education Building and Wednesdays 1:00 to 2:00 pm in The Fellowship Hall. NOTE: Suspended until further notice.

Thank you to all who supported the first season of Community Cares events. If you would like to be involved in planning or have an idea about an activity you would like to present or see a need for please contact Connie Ward.
